Crochet Slip Knot ~ A Crochet Tutorial
To begin any crochet pattern, you must first crochet a slip knot. I delayed learning crochet for so long because I didn’t think I could ever make a slip knot. How silly of me. 🙂 Slip knots are easy to make, just look at the image below. The video below will show you just how easy it is.
Step 1. Hold the Yarn in your hand and string it out so it is firm.
Step 2. Insert the hook under the yarn, pull up the hook, and twist the yarn around the hook. Hold the short end of the yarn tight with the fingers of the same hand you hold the hook with.
Step 3. Yarn over away from you with the long end of the yarn (the yarn from the ball).
Step 4. Pull the loop on your hook over the yarn you just yarned over on your hook, creating a new loop on your hook and a slip knot.
